This year you can donate 5 or 10 euros to obtain a "0" runner’s number and the proceeds will go to under-privileged children

The Calvià Marathon collaborates with Unicef.

Calvià’s Marathon and Half Marathon, will take place on December 14th. This will be Marathon number XXV, and donations can be made under the new "run without effort" banner. This will allow runners “number 0" (non-runners) to make a donation to Unicef, thus benefiting under-privileged children as well as taking part symbolically in the Silver Anniversary of this race.

Therefore those who wish to make a donation to this scheme between Calvià Marathon and Unicef can do so via the website www.maratondecalvia.es, and can choose to donate either 5 or 10 euros. Alternatively, this can be arranged at the Hotel Sol Magaluf Park during the runners’ get-together on December 12th between 5 & 8p.m. or December 13th between 10a.m. & 8p.m. All "0" participants should collect their numbers at some time during these get-togethers.

Calvià’s Marathon and Half Marathon are organised by the Sports & Athletics Association of Calvià (ADA Calvià). They are sponsored by Calvià Town Hall and the bank Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo (CAM). The events will begin at 9a.m. on Avenida de las Palmeras, by the Municipal Sports Centre. The routes consist of 1 circuit of 21,097 km (half marathon) and 2 circuits (full marathon). These routes have been officially recognised by the Royal Spanish Federation of Athletics (RFEA), as have the 10.000 metre event and the 10.000 metre Nordic Walking Event.
