She was unanimously elected, by all political parties, in the plenary session
At the plenary session Francisca Mascaró Tous was unanimously elected by all political parties (PP, PSOE and UM) as the new Calvià ombudsman. Her election was confirmed, as promised by Mayor Carlos Delgado, with the general consent of the three political parties represented in the municipality.
The new person in charge of attending to citizens' problems and complaints, and acting as mediator with municipal matters, will take up her new position at the beginning of the new year, thus filling the vacancy left by Antoni Pallicer when he retired. Francisca Mascaró, since mid 2003, has been head of the Housing Dept., although she has been at
Calvià Town Hall since the end of 1985, when she began as Head of Supplies: Contracts, Buying, Store Room, Coasts, Calvià 2000 and cemeteries.
Francisca Mascaró, who is a qualified solicitor, has also worked at the Palma Town Hall in the General Inspection of Technical Services, Housing and Private Construction, and Public Works. She has worked as a solicitor in both the public and private sector. She has also been involved in various courses, and has given classes on administrative contracting.
