Calvià will host the first stage of the 35th edition of the Garden Hotels & Resorts Challenge Ciclista Mallorca this coming Wednesday, January 28th. The sporting event will be centered in Palmanova, as the start and finish lines will be located on the Passeig de la Mar in Palmanova.
Team check-in will begin at 10:55 a.m., with the ribbon-cutting ceremony taking place at 12:10 p.m. After completing the course, the riders are expected to reach the finish line around 3:55 p.m., at which time the awards ceremony will be held.
Due to the event, there will be traffic and parking restrictions along the planned route, mainly in the areas of Palmanova, Es Capdellà, and Calvià. The safety measures will primarily operate along the route using a system that closes roads as the cyclists pass by, which may cause occasional traffic delays.
Residents and visitors are advised to be aware of potential access restrictions to areas affected by the race and to plan their journeys in advance, using alternative routes whenever possible.
