The "Calvià lo vale" campaign to boost local businesses has kicked off with massive support from residents, exceeding all initial expectations and selling out all available vouchers in less than two weeks. Since its launch on Monday 1st December 2025, Calvià residents have used all 25,000 available vouchers.
The "Calvià lovale" campaign has increased its budget from 144,000 euros last year to 250,000 euros in 2025 (a 73.6% increase). The use of these vouchers brings an investment of half a million euros in local businesses in Calvià. The initiative, offering a "buy €20, pay €10" discount, has achieved its goal of boosting Christmas shopping in the municipality of Calvià with an overwhelming response. The programme is designed to encourage shopping at local businesses and stimulate the municipality's economy.
The massive response underscores the commitment of Calvià residents to the local business community, taking advantage of the opportunity to obtain up to four 10 euros discount vouchers per person on purchases over 20 euros.
Redemption is straightforward; simply present your ID at the 63 participating establishments, which can be found on the official website. The Town Hall covers the entire cost of the 10 euros discount, efficiently managing payments to businesses through the Mallorca Chamber of Commerce.
The campaign is aimed at Calvià retailers managed by self-employed individuals, micro-enterprises, or small businesses. The aim is to focus support on local businesses, therefore excluding large chains and establishments larger than 400 square metres. Restaurants, bars, and cafes regulated by the Balearic Islands Tourism Law are eligible to participate. In this case, it is important that the discounts not be limited solely to alcoholic beverages.
