- Of the 25,000 vouchers available, 10,587 have been used since last Monday
Calvià lo vale: 2025. The campaign's budget has increased from 144,000 euros last year to 250,000 euros in 2025, a 73.6 percent increase - Each resident can claim up to four vouchers worth 10 euros each for purchases over 20 euros
The Calvià lo vale 2025 campaign has been a huge success. In just two days since its launch on Monday, 1st December, Calvià residents have redeemed 10,587 of the 25,000 available vouchers. This has resulted in significant investment in local businesses.
Once again, the Department of Commerce has launched the "Calvià lo Vale" campaign to support local businesses during the Christmas shopping season. The redemption period will run until 31st January 2026, or until the vouchers run out. To ensure the efficiency and proper management of the vouchers, the Town Hall is once again relying on the technical collaboration of the Mallorca Chamber of Commerce.
"Calvià lo Vale" aims to encourage spending amongst residents by distributing discount vouchers, providing direct support to the municipality's businesses. This year, the number of participating establishments has surpassed the previous record, reaching 63, which can be found on the website calvialovale.com.
The number of vouchers available to residents has also increased. From €144,000 last year to €250,000, a 73.6 percent increase that means half a million euros in sales for local businesses. Calvià residents aged 16 and over can receive up to four €10 discount vouchers per person simply by presenting their ID at participating businesses. The Calvià Town Hall covers the full cost of the €10 voucher, ensuring that participating businesses receive the full discount amount promptly through the Mallorca Chamber of Commerce.
The campaign targets retail businesses in Calvià managed by self-employed individuals, micro-enterprises, and small businesses. The focus is on supporting local businesses, therefore excluding large chains and establishments larger than 400 square metres. Restaurants, bars, and cafes regulated by the Balearic Islands Tourism Law are also eligible to participate. In this case, it is important that the discounts are not limited to alcoholic beverages.
