- Information letters are being prepared for sports concessionaires, clubs, associations, AMIPAS (parents' associations) and educational centres, reminding them of the current regulations
- The Town Hall has launched an institutional campaign to promote responsible festivities that will be disseminated on social media, the website and other formats
Calvià Town Hall, in collaboration with the Regional Plan on Drugs and other Addictions (PADIB), local and regional entities, has launched a set of preventive and awareness-raising actions within the Local Festivities' Management Model, with the aim of promoting safer, healthier and more responsible leisure time, especially amongst the young population.
Information letters are being prepared for sports concessionaires, clubs, associations, AMIPAS and educational centres, reminding them of the current regulations on access, sale and consumption of alcohol by minors, as well as restrictions on its advertising.
A letter will also be sent to families, through PADIB, FAPA Mallorca and the Convivexit programme, with recommendations for enjoying the festivities from a preventive perspective. For its part, PADIB has sent a letter to these same associations promoting training and responsible alcohol dispensing.
During the month of June, two programmes dedicated to the Festivities' Management Model will be recorded on Radio Calvià: on 17th June, with Es Generador youth information team, and on 26th June, in the Social Services section. Then, in July, the topic "How to Enjoy the Fiesta" will be addressed, debunking distorted beliefs around nightlife.
The NO SIGUIS ASE! campaign, promoted by PADIB, will also feature an information table on the evening of 23rd June on Palmanova's Paseo del Mar (beach promenade) from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
An institutional positive communication campaign has also been launched to promote responsible festivities, which will be disseminated on social media, the institutional website, and in specific materials for each summer festive event. Likewise, posters in Catalan, Spanish, and English with the message "Serving alcohol to minors is prohibited" will be distributed to neighbourhood associations and businesses.
Municipal departments have also been asked to integrate the NO SIGUIS ASE! campaign into festival programmes, social media, and digital media. Finally, the Town Hall requests that neighbourhood associations share all informational materials through local festival flyers.
