Calvià Town Hall, through its Youth Department, is organising the I Love Korea Fest on Saturday, 7th March. This event will be held at Es Generador and is part of a series of activities aimed at young people in the municipality, with the goal of providing spaces for meeting, participation, and cultural expression.
The initiative has the main collaboration of Leyla Sabelly and the participation of the Balearic K-pop Community. The event was created to introduce Korean culture to young people and provide a space where those interested in dance, music, and other cultural expressions can freely express themselves.
Throughout the day, attendees will enjoy an immersive experience with participatory activities, information sessions, and cultural exhibitions. Date: Saturday, March 7th
Doors open: 4:30 p.m.
Location: Es Generador – 8 Voranova St., Son Caliu
The programme includes:
- Illustrations
- Traditional Korean clothing
- Korean calligraphy
- Traditional lanterns
- Karaoke and dance karaoke
- Random K-pop
- Outfit show
- Korean games
- Photocards and badges
- Dance and singing performances
- Information sessions
On the main stage, a session will be held with three speakers who will address different aspects of contemporary Korea and answer questions from the audience. There will also be presentations on Korean beauty and cuisine, information about important cities in the country, as well as traditional clothing and K-pop-inspired outfit shows.
In addition, the programme will include dance and singing performances, K-pop Random dynamics, raffles, and ongoing activities to maintain an active and participatory atmosphere throughout the afternoon.
With this initiative, the Youth Department reinforces its commitment to cultural diversity and the creation of spaces where the youth of Calvià can share interests, discover new realities, and find an environment of integration and coexistence. The I Love Korea Fest also aims to provide information on different aspects of Korean culture—such as dance, gastronomy, beauty, traditional clothing, and the current situation in South Korea—and offer a meeting point for those who love this culture and are looking for a space to express themselves through dance, singing, drawing, or other creative pursuits.
