- More than 70 personnel and technical resources were deployed to address the emergency in Calvià following the storm
Between 8:55 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., 45 incidents were reported related to fallen trees, collapsed walls, flooding, fires caused by lightning, and a gas leak caused by a fallen tree, all due to the severe storm that hit this morning.
The most affected areas were Magaluf, Palmanova, Son Caliu, Portals Nous, and Son Ferrer. Most of the damage involved parked vehicles due to falling branches and trees. Currently, approximately 15 vehicles have been reported damaged, although this count is preliminary.
No injuries have been reported. All incidents and calls were handled immediately, with a response time of less than 15 minutes. The response operation involved 40 police officers, 3 call centre operators, 5 members of Civil Protection, 20 municipal workers, contracted personnel with 2 trucks and 2 cranes, the entire Santa Ponça Fire Department, and units from other fire stations of the Consell Insular, in addition to the Calvià 2000 cleaning service workers.
There are currently no emergencies or dangers. Everything that was obstructing public roads has been removed, and the cleanup of debris continues to restore normalcy.
