Calvià Town Hall announces the taxi driver certification exam.

Calvià Town Hall has announced the opening of applications for the taxi driver certification exam. This exam aims to ensure the necessary professional qualifications to operate in the municipality, guaranteeing a quality service for residents and visitors.

Those interested can submit their application from 4th to 11th February 2026, both inclusive. The process can be completed in two ways:

  • Online: Through the electronic office (https://seuelectronica.calvia.com/).
  • In person: At the Town Hall's General Registry, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.


To be eligible to take the exam, candidates must meet the following requirements on the date of the exam:

  • Be a Spanish national or a national of a country with applicable international treaties.
  • Hold a Secondary Education Certificate (ESO) or equivalent. 
  • Applicants must hold a valid driver's license for public service vehicles with fewer than 9 seats, held for at least 2 years.
  • They must also have paid the 6,00€ ​​examination fee for obtaining a municipal taxi driver's license.


Exam Details

The exam will be held on Wednesday, 25th February 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Casal de Peguera, Carrer dels Pins, 15. Depending on the number of applicants, the organisers may schedule two exam sessions (9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.).

The assessment will consist of five eliminatory subjects that applicants must complete in 40 minutes:

  • Knowledge of Calvià: Street map, official buildings, pharmacies, and points of tourist, historical, and geographical interest.
  • Geography of Mallorca: Especially information relevant to tourists.
  • Mathematical Calculation: Basic operations, problem-solving, and the metric system. 
  • Applicable regulations: National and municipal taxi regulations.
  • Languages: Basic conversational knowledge of Catalan, English, and German.


Results Schedule

February 17: Publication of the provisional list of admitted candidates and deadline for submitting corrections.

February 23: Publication of the final list of admitted candidates.

March 3: Publication of the provisional exam results.

March 6: Publication of the final list of successful candidates.
