Calvià Town Hall, through its Municipal School of Healthy Habits (e m h a s), is launching a new initiative, the Calvià Healthy Card, which aims to promote the consumption of products and services associated with healthy lifestyle habits in the municipality, as well as to stimulate the local business fabric.
The proposal is part of a municipal health promotion and prevention strategy whose main objective is to improve the general well-being of the population by encouraging more conscious, responsible consumption decisions that are aligned with healthy living.
Presentation of the card and first participating businesses
Five businesses in the municipality have joined the initiative so far, committed to creating a healthier community. They are the following:
- Eroski Santa Ponça (Food)
- Gastrocarn (Food)
- De la Meseta ('Smothies')
- Fitcorner (Fitness Centre)
- Uco Bakery (Bakery)
Participating establishments undertake to offer discounts and special benefits to the Calvià Saludable card holders on various products and services offered in their establishments.
The mayor of Calvià, Juan Antonio Amengual, welcomed representatives of the participating establishments at the Town Hall to sign the agreements and officially present the card. During his speech, the mayor stressed that "with this card we take a further step in our commitment to place the health and well-being of citizens at the heart of public policies. We want Calvià to be a benchmark municipality in quality of life, and to achieve this, it is essential to work together with local businesses and the active participation of citizens''.
