Calvià Town Hall meets the deadlines and publishes the tender for the comprehensive renovation of CEIP Ses Quarterades.

  • The rehabilitation and improvement works exceed one million euros
  • Both, Government and Town Hall technicians revisit the school and certify that there is no structural danger

The IMEB —Calvià Municipal Institute of Education and Libraries— officially published the tender for the ambitious comprehensive renovation of CEIP Ses Quarterades (Calvià village) on the Public Procurement Platform this Thursday, January 22. With this administrative milestone, the consistory strictly adheres to the commitment and technical plan presented to the school's Governing Board on Monday, January 19, demonstrating the agility and rigor in the management of this project. The works exceed one million euros.

Administrative compliance and transparency

As announced at the School Council meeting on January 19, the file is now public and accessible to all interested companies through the IMEB's Contractor Profile. The deadline for submitting bids will remain open until February 18, and a technical visit for bidding companies has been scheduled for Thursday, February 29.

Technical endorsement: safety and tranquility for families

Furthermore, a technical visit to the school was carried out by technicians from both, the Infrastructure Service of the Regional Ministry of Education and the IMEB, accompanied by the school's administration. During the visit, the affected areas were assessed, and the rest of the facility was reviewed. The technical services of both administrations reiterated that the building poses no structural danger, a judgement that should serve to convey a message of tranquility to the entire school community. The safety of students and teaching staff is the absolute priority, and technical reports confirm that the use of the facilities is safe while the final stages of construction are completed.

A solutions-oriented management

Following the productive meeting between municipal representatives, the Regional Ministry of Education, and the school's Parents' Association (AMIPA), the Town Hall reaffirms its commitment to working with accurate information and close collaboration with families.

The timely publication of this tender confirms that the project is following the most efficient administrative timeline to address a long-standing demand. The governing team regrets that doubts have arisen about a process that is being carried out with the utmost transparency and speed, and reaffirms that the facts and adherence to deadlines are the best guarantee that CEIP Ses Quarterades will soon have the excellent facilities it deserves.
