- The call for grants, endowed with 32.000€, will be launched in May to support those who started their business in 2025
Calvià Town Hall, through the Entrepreneurship and Business Development Unit of the Calvià Institute for Training and Employment (IFOC), will launch a new call for grants in early May with the aim of supporting those who chose the municipality to start their economic activity during the past year. This initiative has a total budget of 32.000€ and will provide direct financial aid of 1.000€ to each beneficiary until the available funds are exhausted.
An open call for social economy
As main novelty of this 2026 call, the consistory has decided to broaden the range of beneficiaries to promote social economy, allowing members of cooperatives, partners in worker-owned companies, and Entities Without Legal Personality to apply for the aid in addition to individual self-employed workers, provided they are registered as self-employed.
Grants' requirements and deadlines
To access this aid, applicants must have registered their initial business activity between 1st January and 31st December 2025, maintain their activity at the time of application, and commit to preserving it for a minimum of twelve months. It is also essential to be registered as a Calvià resident before 1st January 2025, and have the work place in the municipality (or carry out an itinerant activity).
The application period will begin in May, after the official publication in the BOIB (Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands), and will remain open until 31st July 2026. Grants will be awarded strictly in order of receipt until funds are exhausted.
All the detailed information, terms and conditions, and access to the online application process will be available on the website calviaempren.com once the call for applications is published in the (BOIB).
