- The Neighbourhood and Senior Citizens Associations get involved in the future of Wednesday market
- A picnic area, dance classes, and children's and family activities are being proposed
El Toro residents have proposed a series of outdoor activities to coincide with the weekly Wednesday market at Plaza Europa in El Toro. The goal is to boost the market, offer complementary alternatives, and increase the number of users to ensure its continuity. The market was launched last September.
El Toro Neighbourhood and Senior Citizens Associations met with the Mayor Juan Antonio Amengual, the Commerce councillor, Benito Ferrer, and the local councillor Juan Thomás. They offered to organise activities, workshops, and open the snack bar they manage so that visitors can purchase products at the market and have a snack in the area.
This is what they have expressed from the Neighbourhood Association. They assert that the Plaza Europa space and infrastructure can be enhanced to increase the market's attendance, a request that was put into action in response to residents' concerns. The Senior Citizens Association has committed to undertake line dancing and traditional dance classes and workshops. The possibility of organising children's and family activities is being considered.
