Hackeig en Marxa arrives at Puig de sa Morisca!.

This Saturday, 10th May, the Puig de sa Morisca Archaeological Park (Calvià) will host another Hackeig en Marxa event, a project that invites young people to imagine and transform local museums to make them more open, participatory, and representative of the region's diversity.

After a successful presentation in Manacor, the youth group involved in the project arrives in Calvià with a fresh and stimulating proposal that combines creativity, social criticism, and community celebration.

Throughout the morning, there will be activities for all audiences:

Live podcast ''Anam fent'' - An open conversation about the role of muesums in the lives of young people.

Live illustration with Andrea Moretto and Anton Boix, who will represent Sa Morisca timeline in a large-format piece (2x1 m), visually illustrating everything from the prehistoric past to the park's active present.

Roundtables “¡Desbarata tu museo!” "Mess up your museum!" – A space for dialogue where young participants will reflect on what they would like museums to be, based on questions such as:

- If you were the director of this museum, what topics would you cover?
- What visions or perspectives do you think are missing?
- What would you like to see happen here?

Imaginamos Sa Morisca” (Imagining Sa Morisca) – A visit to a mini-exhibition to learn about the park's current projects, followed by a participatory action: a giant (3x3 m) park logo where everyone can write, draw, or paint ideas about the future of Sa Morisca.

Collaborative mural – Open activity in which anyone can paint, draw, or write ideas about museums, youth, and social transformation.

Vermutada 0.0% – An alcohol-free celebration with three creative mocktails crafted live by David Bonnín and Guillem Pérez. Dare to try a Xisco, a Pinyada, or a Banyadet? All accompanied by music by DJ @Clawrian.

Hackeig en Marxa is an initiative that seeks to highlight the voice of youth within local museums. The project arises from the collaboration between Treball Solidari (with financing from the Department of Family and Social Affairs of the GOIB) and a group of museums and institutions of the Balearic Islands:

  • Museu d’Història de Manacor

  • Institució Pública Antoni M. Alcover (Manacor)

  • Museu del Brodat i la Confecció (Sant Llorenç des Cardassar – MUBROT)

  • Parc Arqueològic del Puig de sa Morisca (Calvià)

  • Museu del Calçat i la Indústria (Inca)

  • Museu Arqueològic de Son Fornés (Montuïri)

  • Museu Marítim de Mallorca (Palma and Sóller)

  • Fundació Cosme Bauçà (Felanitx)

All these institutions have come together with the objective of promoting cultural participation and creating more accessible, diverse and community museums.

The next stop will be on 7th June at the MUBROT (Sant Llorenç des Cardassar).
