Calvià Town Hall, through the Calvià Training and Employment Institute (IFOC) and in collaboration with the Balearic Association of Young Entrepreneurs (AJE Balears), held another edition of its Speed Networking event this Thursday. The event was a resounding success, drawing nearly 70 attendees to the Sala Palmanova.
This initiative marks the kickoff of a new series of IFOC meetings, workshops, and conferences aimed at entrepreneurs. It also launches the schedule of activities planned for the 2026–2027 period, following the recent signing of an agreement between the two organizations to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem and strengthen the municipality's business sector.
Supporting and fostering entrepreneurship is thus solidified as a key strategic objective for the municipal government this term, aiming to provide the tools, training, and networking opportunities needed to create and consolidate new businesses in Calvià.
The event featured a keynote presentation by José María Regueiro, CEO and co-founder of Connect24—a Balearic startup selected in 2025 for the prestigious Lanzadera accelerator, an initiative backed by Juan Roig. During his presentation, Regueiro shared the firm's journey, its strategic successes, and the demands of a top-tier scaling program, offering practical management methodologies applicable to the attendees' own projects.
Afterwards, participants took an active part in a speed networking session designed to foster contact exchanges, create synergies, and strengthen strategic alliances among local entrepreneurs. The event concluded with a refreshment break, allowing attendees to continue building their networks in a relaxed atmosphere.
