- The second edition of Calvià: MICE destination brings together professionals from the tourism sector for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions
- A new commitment to tourism for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions with the second Calvià: MICE destination meeting.
- Professionals from the sector met this Friday at the Sa Societat theatre
The mayor of Calvià, Juan Antonio Amengual, opened the event by addressing the speakers and attendees. “The MICE segment is both a niche market with potential clients and also an advertising launch pad. We offer an ideal destination for incentives, social events, product presentations, or corporate conventions where work and team activities are combined. Each of these professionals becomes a promotional agent for Calvià,” he said.
An example of the attraction of MICE tourism is that Magaluf will host the annual convention of ABTA, the largest association of travel agencies and tour operators in the United Kingdom, which includes more than 4,300 companies. Between 6th and 8th October, some 450 agents will meet in the municipality.
Calvià: MICE destination, in whose organisation the Town Hall has collaborated, has had interventions by: Mariona Bragulat, Senior Director of Sales Spain & Portugal at Amadeus Hospitality; Mar Muñoz, CEO at IT Travel and Executive Coach and Riccardo Galanti, Director of Sales Hospitality Cloud at Cvent. It has been organised by Pidelaluna Events with the support of Grupo Fergus and the Calvià 365 Foundation.
