Calvià Town Hall has announced the awarding of the Rei en Jaume Honorary Award to Miquel Jaume, founder of Trui, at the 23rd edition of these awards. This recognition highlights his decisive role in consolidating the cultural and leisure offerings in Mallorca, as well as the trajectory of a family business that has become a benchmark in the sector. The presentation ceremony will take place on Friday, 24th October at 7:00 p.m. in the Sala Palmanova.
What began as a live music venue in Palma, driven by Jaume and his wife, Francisca Coll, evolved into a company that has transformed the island's cultural scene. For more than four decades, Trui has been essential in representing and promoting artists and organising events of all kinds, combining tradition and innovation.
Thanks to his work, Mallorca has welcomed leading international artists, while local talent has had the opportunity to promote abroad. At the same time, Trui has established itself as a company capable of offering comprehensive solutions for any cultural or festive production, from large-scale concerts to private celebrations, trade fair events, theatre, and more.
With the addition of the family's second generation into management, the company maintains its friendly atmosphere and commitment to excellence, ensuring continuity to the legacy started by Miquel Jaume. His figure, now recognised with the Honor Award, symbolises the efforts of a lifetime dedicated to bringing culture and entertainment to Mallorcan society.
