- Line 105 will pass through Cas Saboners (Magaluf) for the first time
- Schedules and frequencies for lines 102, 103, and 104 are being extended
The Balearic Islands Government is improving public transport connections on the TIB intercity bus service in the Calvià area with increased frequencies and other measures starting this Monday, with the implementation of new schedules for several lines in the western part of the municipality, connecting towns within the municipality and with Palma. The Mayor of Calvià, Juan Antonio Amengual, the Councillor for Mobility, Manuel Mas, and the manager of the Mallorca Transport Consortium, Luisa Serra, presented the improved service for several TIB intercity bus lines in the Calvià area.
Starting Monday, February 16, bus line 105 will modify its route in Palmanova, adding stops at CEIP Cas Saboners, Cas Saboners 1 and 2, and Palmanova West 1 and 2. The route will also be modified to include Bendinat and add new stops in Portals Nous. For the first time, it will pass along Avenida Cas Saboners (Magaluf) with five stops, three of which are new (near Eroski and CEIP Cas Saboners).
Line 105 (connecting Sol de Mallorca, Cala Vinyes, Magaluf, Palmanova, Costa d’en Blanes, Son Caliu, and Portals Nous with Palma) will now include a stop in Bendinat, providing better service to residents of the area who currently use line 108.
The service will no longer stop at Pere Vaquer Ramis, Playa de Son Maties, Pinzons, Playa de Palmanova, and Punta Marroig. However, these stops will remain operational for lines 104 (Magaluf-Palma), 123 (Santa Ponça-Cas Català), and A11 (Peguera-Airport).
The route has been adjusted to prioritise residents and has been diverted from more touristy areas already served by other lines. It will offer 7 daily trips between Calvià and Palma and 8 between Palma and Calvià, Monday through Sunday.
Lines 102 Peguera – Palma and 103 Santa Ponça – Palma are expanding their service with more trips from Monday to Friday. Line 102 adds nine departures from Palma and ten from Peguera; line 103 adds nine more from Costa de la Calma and ten additional trips from Palma.
Meanwhile, line 104 significantly increases its service with 17 and 16 more trips in each direction throughout the week. It also extends its late-night hours with a final departure from Magaluf at 11:20 p.m. and from Palma at 10:30 p.m.
