- The Town Hall has assumed the renovation costs and will cover the maintenance
- It has a 230 square-metre space for events, meetings and scheduled activities
The new Palmanova senior citizens' centre has been inaugurated in Calvià. The space, located on Paris St., will serve more than 200 users from the Asociación Tercera Juventud de Palmanova (Palmanova Third Youth Association), an organisation with six years of history.
The Town Hall has covered the cost of adapting the premises and will cover the rental, electricity, water and maintenance costs. The 230 square metres have been fitted with furniture for meetings and events, and a constantly evolving calendar of scheduled activities is being worked on. A large municipal representation, led by Mayor Juan Antonio Amengual, took part in the opening ceremony.
The mayor emphasised that "we have responded to a request from the Association; their old premises had become too small, and now we have renovated and refurbished this space, which was previously a bar."
