The Calvià CRECs once again offer an educational and fun programme for young people in the municipality during the summer.

  • As a novelty, this year the ‘Nous Actius’ programme is being incorporated, which, managed by the FUEIB and financed by the European Union, offers digital training so that students acquire computer knowledge and skills

Once again, the Calvià Educational Reinforcement Centres (CREC) will open their doors during the month of July to offer a learning and entertainment space aimed at students finishing 6th grade of Primary school and Secondary school students residing in the municipality.

The main objective is to promote learning based on experimentation, play and the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). To this end, multidisciplinary workshops will be organised that will integrate activities that will work on linguistic and social skills, areas of logical-mathematical knowledge, science, robotics and technology, amongst others. Likewise, there will be activities at Calvià's sports facilities and outings to the beach and other points of interest.

As a novelty this year, the Nous Actius programme, managed by the FUEIB and funded by the European Union, is being incorporated. It offers digital training so that students acquire computer knowledge and skills to promote safe internet browsing, device security, digital identity management, and the protection of personal data and privacy.

When students complete the programme, they will receive an official certification that will serve them as a basis for future training in the digital field. The objective is also for them to acquire enriching experiences that benefit their personal and academic development. Participants who will begin their first year of compulsory secondary education in September will have access to specific orientation and academic preparation sessions that will allow them to face this new educational stage with greater confidence.

The service will be offered from Monday to Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with sessions lasting an hour and a half each. The public price is 10€ per month, and to participate, you must be registered in Calvià. Pre-registration can be done between Monday, 2nd June and Sunday, 8th June through www.calvia.com, www.crecalvia.com, and the Instagram profile @crecalvia_imeb, where information and updates will also be shared. From Calvià Town Hall families in the municipality are encouraged to register their children for this proposal, which combines education, leisure, and support so they can continue progressing in their development and educational growth, acquiring new knowledge and skills.
