- The awards ceremony will take place on 26th November at the Sala Palmanova
The 2025 edition of Premios Calvià Excelentes has recorded a notable participation rate consolidating the popularity of these awards, created to raise awareness and recognise the work of the municipality's business and commercial network. In total, 34 local businesses and companies submitted 82 nominations in the different categories, demonstrating the sector's interest in highlighting its contribution to the community.
The Mayor of Calvià, Juan Antonio Amengual, emphasised that "these awards are a way to publicly recognise the effort, innovation, and resilience of our businesses, which are an economic engine and also a pillar of social cohesion in the municipality. Calvià has gone far beyond seasonal tourist trade. Our merchants and business owners have consolidated a year-round offering for residents that is also attractive to visitors from other municipalities."
Organised by Calvià Town Hall, the Premios Calvià Excelentes will celebrate their third edition in 2025, reaffirming their commitment to boosting the local economy and promoting the municipality's entrepreneurial talent. These awards seek to recognise both innovation and tradition, proximity to customers, and the importance of business activity for the economic and social development of Calvià.
The awards are divided into five categories:
- Innovative Company: to recognise projects that provide creative and distinctive solutions.
- Family Business: aimed at highlighting the trajectory and continuity of businesses managed by several generations.
- Local Commerce: which values proximity, personal treatment, and trust with customers.
- Company 365 (Open all year): aimed at businesses that maintain constant activity throughout the seasons.
- Tourism Business: Awards those key establishments that have helped establish Calvià as a leading destination.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which will take place on 26th November at the Sala Palmanova, an event that will bring together institutional, business, and social representatives from the municipality.
With initiatives such as the Premios Calvià Excelentes, the Town Hall reinforces its support for local businesses and their essential role in revitalising the municipality, helping it remain a benchmark for both residents and visitors.
