The travel or residence certificate is a document that certifies the condition of resident in non-peninsular Spanish territory, in order to be eligible for the subsidised reduction in the fares of regular transport services.
The service is free of charge and the document is valid for six months.
You can request your certificate telematically or in person.
- Telematically: No need for digital identification.
You can access the procedure from here. In ten minutes you will receive your certificate at the address provided.
In the case of minors, only those parents who are registered at the same address as the minor, and have an electronic certificate/DNIe can request certificates. Access the on-line procedure from here.
- In person: If you identify yourself correctly with your original and valid identity document, the certificate will be issued immediately.
Spanish: DNI, driver's license or passport.
European foreigners: passport or foreign identity card always accompanied by the European Union citizen registration certificate (green NIE).
Non-EU foreigners: permanent or long-term residence permit.
In the case of minors, only those parents who are registered at the same address as the minor may request certificates. Otherwise, they must come with an authorization from the registered parent, accompanied by their identity document.
WHERE CAN YOU APPLY FOR YOUR TRAVEL CERTIFICATE:
- At the Municipal Tourist Information Offices (OMITS).
- At the Calvià Town Hall, from 9 am to 2 pm.
- At the Municipal Service Center located in Palmanova from 9 am to 2 pm.
- In the dependencies of the Local Police (Polígono de Son Bugadelles) seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
