A attachmentsis a legal action through which a person’s assets or income are withheld to ensure the payment of a debt. There are various types of attachments: real estate, wages, bank accounts, refunds from the State Agency of Tax Administration (AEAT), etc.

The status of garnishments can be checked in several ways:

• Through the VTO by following these steps:
  • Access the Virtual Tax Office (VTO).
  • Search for and select the option 'Check the status of my attachments' in the search bar or in the procedures menu (icon located in the upper left corner)
  • Fill out and submit the form
• In person at the OMT offices.
