Calvià launches one-thousand-euro grants for self-employed residents in the municipality.

  • The total amount allocated to the call will be 32.000 €, with a fixed grant of 1.000 € allocated to each self-employed beneficiary until the budget is exhausted
  • They must be residents, self-employed since 2024, and carry out their activity in the municipality

Calvià Town Hall, through the Calvià Training and Employment Institute (IFOC), has published a call for grants aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in the municipality who began their activity as individual self-employed individuals in 2024 and continue to do so. The application period, open since August 3, will remain open until September 2, 2025.

This call reaffirms the Town Hall's commitment to local employment creation and the promotion of entrepreneurship through direct financial aid, designed to compensate the efforts of those who decide to start their own business in Calvià. With this initiative, the Town Hall also aims to promote entrepreneurial culture and encourage personal initiative. In this way, the promotion of entrepreneurship complements key sectors and is positioned as a fundamental driver for the municipality's sustainable economic development.

All those who initially registered with the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers (RETA) between January 1 and December 31, 2024, who were registered in Calvià before January 1, 2024, who have their workplace in the municipality or, where applicable, carry out an itinerant activity, and who meet the requirements established in the regulatory terms and conditions published in the BOIB (Balearic Islands Official Bulletin) are eligible for this grant.

The application process is carried out online, and grants will be awarded in strict order of registration, until the credit allocated to the call is exhausted.

Self-employed individuals linked to corporations, cooperatives, non-professional civil partnerships, and collaborating self-employed individuals are excluded from this subsidy.

A specific website has been created with complete information on the call for subsidies for new self-employed individuals (2024).
