- Three open and free proposals in Sa Morisca and the Galatzó estate for all audiences
On the occasion of International Museum Day 2025, which is celebrated on 18th May, Calvià Town Hall is organising a special weekend with three cultural and educational activities aimed at diverse audiences, which will take place between Friday 16 and Sunday 18 May at the Puig de Sa Morisca Archaeological Park and the Galatzó public estate.
Under this year's slogan El futur dels museus en comunitats en constant canvi (The future of museums in constantly changing communities), the proposals combine theatre, music, historical outreach, and children's workshops, with the aim of bringing heritage closer to citizens from a participatory, inclusive, and transformative perspective. All three activities are free of charge and do not require prior registration. Admission is free until capacity is reached.

A park committed to heritage research and dissemination
The Puig de Sa Morisca Archaeological Park is one of the main references for public archaeology in Mallorca. With more than 45 hectares of protected landscape and a network of sites spanning from the Bronze Age to the Islamic period, the park integrates conservation, scientific research, open-air museography, and citizen participation programmes.
Since its creation, the park promotes initiatives aimed at bringing heritage closer to society, through educational activities, workshops, exhibitions, guided tours, volunteering actions, and innovative cultural proposals. All of this is part of its commitment to an open and inclusive heritage management based on scientific knowledge.
