Presentation of the book Aurora Picornell (1912-1937). De la història al símbol by David Ginard
Aurora Picornell was born in el Molinar de Levante in Palma, on 1st October 1912, daughter of the communist carpenter Gabriel Picornell and Joana Femenies. She was the sixth of seven brothers, in a family that would be mutilated by the Francoist coup d'etat: her father and brothers Ignasi and Gabriel were also assassinated, while the brothers Joan and Llibertat, embarked on18th July 1936 towards the Popular Olympics of Barcelona, they were able to save the life, but to know the exile.
