One of the most spectacular trail running events in Mallorca returns to the Serra de Tramuntana on 15th November. The Galatzó Trail intends to repeat the success of the last edition, in which all the places were sold out months before the event. The Galatzó public estate will once again host a mountain route in a privileged environment. This year, as a novelty, registrations are formalised through Sportmaniacs.

The goal, to be a legend

Runners will have to face 43 km on the most demanding race, the Galatzó Legend. Participants will have to crown sEsclop and Galatzó with an accumulated slope of 4,350 m. In parallel, the Galatzó Half will test the middle distance trail runners with a 23 km half marathon that accumulates a slope of 1,837 m.
The environment offered by Calvià at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana is unbeatable for a competition of the characteristics of the Galatzó Trail. The public estate will host a hard itinerary that combines fascinating landscapes and views of the UNESCO World Heritage worthy of a marathon.

Route

The Galatzó Legend and the Galatzó Half will depart from Plaça de Sa Vinya in Es Capdellà and will enter the Galatzó public estate. Marathon participants will crown both mountains, descend and then climb Ses Planes before returning to the village. In the middle distance, runners will follow the paths of the estate but will not go to the top of either of the two mountain peaks.

Activities and services

The race will feature many services to make the event a complete experience. The animation will not be missing in the finish area, which will turn the runners' arrival into a party. The day before the race, participants will find a briefing, a conference and a snack along with the offer of several products for a last set-up.
