Offshore regatta between Salou (Tarragona) and Santa Ponça (Calvià). Approximately 110 miles of course. It commemorates the crossing made by King James I the Conqueror on his way to conquer Mallorca in 1229.

It is organised by the Club Nàutic Salou (CNS) with the approval of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation (RFEV), with the collaboration of the Club Náutico Santa Ponça (CNSP), Port Adriano (Calvià), Port Tarraco (Tarragona), Club Nàutic de Cambrils, Federació Catalana de Vela (FCV), Real Asociación Nacional de Cruceros (RANC) and Asociación de Barcos de Época y Clásicos (AEBEC) and the sponsorship of the Town Councils of Calvià and Salou.

The regatta is part of the Skipper magazine's High Seas Regatta Circuit organised by Difusión Náutica.
