The Fundació Universitat-Empresa of the Balearic Islands (FUEIB), in collaboration with the Calvià Training and Employment Institute (IFOC), is organising a face-to-face training programme on Generative Artificial Intelligence, which will be held at the IFOC facilities in Palmanova on 28th, 29th and 30th July 2025, with NextGenerationEU funding.
This training programme aims to bring the transformative potential of AI closer to the business and professional community of Calvià. The course is primarily aimed at businesses, professionals, and entrepreneurs in the municipality and will be taught and officially certified by the FUEIB (Spanish Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation) and the Directorate General for Innovation and Digital Transformation.
This training programme aims to bring the transformative potential of AI closer to the business and professional community of Calvià. The course is primarily aimed at businesses, professionals, and entrepreneurs in the municipality and will be taught and officially certified by the FUEIB (Spanish Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation) and the Directorate General for Innovation and Digital Transformation.
The initiative is part of the Artificial Intelligence Academy of the Calvià Training and Employment Institute (IFOC), whose objective is to bring the transformative potential of AI closer to the municipality's business and professional community. Looking ahead to September, the IFOC has scheduled a conference, training workshops, and other activities, which can be found on its website.
The course "Generative AI for Beginners" includes an intensive three-day format: 28th, 29th and 30th July 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and will cover the following topics:

• AI Fundamentals: Key concepts, deep learning, and ethics in AI.
• Generative text and image models: Real and responsible uses.
• Prompting: From basic to advanced techniques for generating content.
• Application in the workplace: practical use of Microsoft Copilot, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The training is free and requires mandatory attendance at all sessions to obtain the accreditation certificate. Places are limited and can be registered at the following link:
