Calvià Town Hall presents its new Guide to Activities and Resources 2025-2026 for Active and Healthy Aging.

  • This is a comprehensive compendium of up-to-date information on resources, benefits, activities and services for the elderly

Calvià Town Hall, through the Social Intervention and Senior Citizens Service, has published the Guide to Activities and Resources 2025-2026 for Active and Healthy Aging. This publication, which is already available for consultation on the municipal website and will soon be available in municipal offices and health centres in the municipality, seeks to be an essential tool to promote healthy aging and improve the life quality of Calvià residents.

The guide is a comprehensive compendium of up-to-date information on resources, discounts, activities and services aimed at the care and development of older people who have chosen Calvià as their place of residence.

It includes activities and contacts for senior citizens' associations, municipal social care services, resources and projects for social promotion and participation, information on the services and benefits of the Dependency Law and the personal autonomy promotion programme, and information on the Llar de Calvià (Senior Citizens' Home), the Municipal Healthy Habits School (e m h a s) and the municipality's health centres.

In addition, the guide includes information on discounts for people over 65 years of age on municipal sewerage, waste collection and water supply rates, as well as free access to municipal sports facilities for retirees and pensioners. It also details resources outside the municipality, such as the Consell de Mallorca's Senior Citizen Card, transportation to Son Espases, the Public Transport Card (TIB), and IMSERSO services. It also contains services, programmes, and resources for dependency care, promoting autonomy, defending rights, and raising social awareness from the Mallorcan Institute of Social Affairs (IMAS).

Promoting active and healthy aging is one of the key priorities of Calvià Town Hall's Social Intervention and Senior Citizens Service. "This guide has been prepared with special care," says Mayor Juan Antonio Amengual, who trusts that the publication will contribute to the well-being of the municipality's residents, helping "to make Calvià a municipality where people can grow old to the fullest."

The Town Hall invites all Calvià residents to consult the guide and make the most of the information it offers to improve their well-being and life quality, and that of their families.
