Calvià will offer free digital training for people over 55 years of age through the FUEIB.

  • The aim is to facilitate equal access to technology and the digital world through friendly and adapted training
  • The courses are part of the Grans Actius programme, which promotes digital inclusion and active ageing

Calvià will host free digital courses for people over 55 years of age. Training will begin on 22nd September 2025 and registration is now open. Classes will be held at the cultural centres of Calvià Village, El Toro, Magaluf and Santa Ponça, in the morning and afternoon. 

The Grans Actius programme promotes digital inclusion and active ageing and is managed by the Fundación Universidad-Empresa (FUEIB) in the Balearic Islands.  It is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union – Next GenerationEU and promoted by the General Directorate of Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Innovation of the Government of the Balearic Islands.

Practical and personalised training 

The Vida Digital (Digital Life) Course is designed so that anyone, regardless of their level of previous knowledge, can access quality digital training. Its features include: 

  • Free, face to face training
  • Small groups (10 to 15 people) to ensure personalised attention 
  • Close trainers who accompany each student so that they achieve their goals with confidence and autonomy 
  • Necessary technological material provided during the sessions 
  • Official certificate issued by the General Directorate of Innovation and Digital Transformation and the FUEIB 

The course has been developed by teaching and research staff (PDI) of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), guaranteeing rigorous content adapted to the needs of students.
