in the Town Hall's exhibition hall from 7th to 21st February
Calvià Town Hall will host, in the exhibition hall of the Town Hall building from 7th to 21st February, the exhibition "Moviments de la Natura", a sculpture exhibition by the artist Joan Garcías. The opening will be on Friday 7th February at 7 p.m.

The exhibition brings together a selection of works that reflect the career of this multifaceted creator born in Binissalem in 1950. With a distinguished career as a traumatologist, in which he has operated on more than 30.000 patients, Joan Garcías combines his knowledge of human anatomy with his skill in the manipulation of materials such as wood, steel, resins and stone.

"Moviments de la Natura" presents different-format pieces, ranging from the abstract to the figurative with some realistic touches and influences from artists such as Alexander Calder. His work stands out for its exploration of geometric forms and movement, offering the viewer a unique visual experience.

The exhibition is an opportunity to discover the work of an artist who has left his mark internationally, with creations present on the five continents. Some of his creations are carried out in his workshop in Biniali and others in his studio in Palma. Joan Garcías makes clear his ambition and desire to surpass his previous goals by challenging the limits of creativity, showing that age is not an impediment to artistic innovation.
