Calvià Town Hall, in its efforts to reach out to citizens, avoiding long waits and unnecessary journeys, has taken a further step forward with the creation of Calvià Tramit@, a new electronic office, open 24 hours a day, which introduces a new access to the Town Hall.
Calvià Tramit@ is added to the electronic signature and Citizens' Folder, and presents the citizens of Calvià with a new channel of communication with the administration of the municipality, enabling them to conduct their affairs, make enquiries, consult both their personal and property details, receive notifications, etc., without having to travel or queue up.
By way of this new electronic office, both transactions requiring a user's certificate and also those not requiring this can be carried out. The Citizens' Folder can be accessed, and a User's Certificate for the National Factory of Currency and Stamps can be obtained free of charge.
Amongst the procedures which can be done, with the necessary credentials, is the application for a straightforward minor building licence, which does not require a technical project, and also the application and payment of the necessary fees, on-line, for any planning regulations. Furthermore, if the option to be notified electronically of said application, is chosen, the planning regulations will be received in the Citizens' Folder of the Town Hall. One must remember that in order to carry out these procedures, proof of identity is required for the security and legal validity of the transactions undertaken via Internet. For this, it is necessary that the citizen wishing to carry out such procedures is in possession of a User's Certificate. This can be either a Certificate for the National Factory of Currency and Stamps, which can be obtained from the Town Hall, free of charge, or an electronic identity card which allows one to prove their identity and sign and encode electronically documents and messages.
Various transactions
Transactions which can be carried out via Calvià Tramit@, without the necessary credentials, include downloading of forms; calculation of liquidations; payment of taxes; application for certificates of coexistence and residence; request for removal of unwanted items and lodging of complaints and suggestions. This new channel of communication also permits access to the Citizens' Folder to consult one's personal and patrimoniaI details, as recorded in the Town Hall; receive and be informed of the situation with the local government notifications and, also, register complaints and suggestions.
Finally, it should be stressed that Mayor Carlos Delgados team, is working in order to widen, in the near future, the range of services available from Calvià Tramit@, thus improving contact between the local administration and citizen. Via this channel, there should soon be new procedures available, such as application for grants for school text books; reservations for sports installations; renovation of membership for sports facilities and application for copies of some receipts. Similarly, the "Electronic Municipal Register" should be made available to register applications, documents and any correspondence addressed to the Town Hall.
