Information about a house in ruins in Santa Ponēa

Calvià, 16th August 2017

INFORMATION RELATING A HOUSE OF THE GRAN VIA EIVISSA IN SANTA PONÇA

In reference to the house in ruin on the Gran Via Eivissa of Santa Ponça, the Town Hall reports that it is waiting for the property to accredit the administrative authorization of the Coast Delegation in the Balearic Islands and a simple information note or a certificate from the Registry, to grant them the works permit to proceed with the demolition of the house.
This house obtained the license for its construction in 1958. In 2009, a file was started in which, over the years, information was added on the state of the building and urged the property to successive actions (eviction, fencing to prevent access to the site) until the declaration of ruin, which was published in the BOIB in August 2016.
Throughout these years, there was no contact person on behalf of the property that did not respond to the requirements, until mid 2016 the order of initiating an expropriation file was given, action that was not finally necessary as a new owner 'appeared' and assumed the completion of the demolition works and construction of a wall to consolidate the land.
Since mid July of this year documentation has been added to proceed to the demolition.
The area was sealed (the seal has had to be replenished as it sometimes has broken loose ed for various reasons) and vehicles are not allowed in. Costas also took the measures that were considered appropriate, such as the closure of stairs or the placement of signs warning of the dangerous situation.
