MORE THAN ONE MILLION EUROS IN CALVIÀ IN 8 PROJECTS OF THE 2016-2017 SPECIAL INVESTMENT PLAN AND THE 2016-2017 SPECIAL PLAN FOR FINANCIALLY SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENTS OF THE CONSELL DE MALLORCA
The municipality of Calvià has had an investment of 1,167,400 euros for 8 projects through the Special Investment Plan 2016-2017 and the Special Plan for Financially Sustainable Investments 2016-2017 of the Consell de Mallorca.
The Town Hall has implemented, through the Sustainable Investment Plan, the improvement of the drainage, the reinforcement of the road surface and the safety on Rei Jaume I Avenue, the Son Pillo road and the rainwater network in Ramon de Montcada street of Santa Ponça, as well as an investment of 241,002 euros in improving the energy efficiency of public lighting in the municipality.
Regarding the Investment Plan, the Town Hall has executed a construction project for a new premises for the Neighbourhood Association of the Galatzó urbanisation and another for the renovation of the old people's premises in the same area. In addition, the roof of the Peguera's senior citizens centre has been renovated. These three projects have involved an investment of 137,400 euros by the Consell.
Finally, Calvià has also acquired a new electric vehicle thanks to a subsidy of 30,000 euros from the Consell de Mallorca.
The mayor Alfonso Rodríguez Badal and the councillor of Local Development of the Consell, Joan Font, visited some of these works of the municipality, accompanied by the deputy mayor for Roads and Works, Juan Cuadros, the councillor for maintenance Alfonso Molina, and the insular director of Local Cooperation and Hunting, Joan Manera.
