International Day against violence towards women event

The Institutes of Calvià have carried out an act of desire, rejection and remembrance of the women murdered in 2017, on the occasion of the International Day against violence towards women. The IES Son Ferrer event, attended by the mayor of Calvià Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, started with a video, that was viewed in the classrooms, of the first woman who publicly reported that she suffered gender violence and who was killed on the following week. In each class a small debate was made, and afterwards they went out to the patio where a circle of chairs was installed, each one with the name of each woman and minor murdered in 2017. A student named all the women and children murdered, and boys and girls dressed in black, and carrying a candle and black tears, sat in the circle. 

The event was also attended by the councillor of the area of Son Ferrer, Alfonso Molina, and the councillor of EO Rafel Sedano.
