SA RUA DE CALVIÀ 2018

 Sa Rua de Calvià was held this Saturday. The streets of the village have been filled with colors and music, despite the intense cold, which has not prevented almost 900 people from having lived the carnival with the most original costumes. The prizes have been divided into three categories:

individuals and couples (3 participants), groups (16 participants) and floats (4 participants). 

Most of the groups were accompanied by lively music and the large number of attendees enjoyed and encouraged the participants at all times, making Sa Rua de Calvià, once again, in a great participatory and fun party. 

The jury, composed of Fernanda Coringrato, Aitor Gómez and Sebastián Palmer, has chosen the winners of this edition, based on dances, dress and originality, as well as the desire to have fun. A total of 4,660 € have been awarded in prizes in cash and non-cash rewards for the individuals, courtesy of Agustino Ramos S.L. of the Lekkerland España group. 

Calvià Town Hall, through the Department of Culture, has prepared animation with the participation of the groups during the deliberation of the jury, to make the wait more pleasant.
After the awards ceremony, the attendees had fun, one more year, at the big party organised in the marquee set up at the municipal parking lot, where they were able to enjoy the music of DJ Toni Bauzà.
