Smart Tourist Destinations' Network

MEETING AT THE STATE SECRETARIAT FOR TOURISM FOR THE CONSTITUTION OF THE SMART TOURIST DESTINATIONS' NETWORK


The mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, attended yesterday, in Madrid, the meeting with the Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Oliver, to prepare the constitution of the Smart Tourist Destinations' Network.

 

The Network will be integrated by a score of destinations, amongst which is Calvià, that yesterday was one of the towns that attended the preparatory meeting, along with other 11 tourist municipalities: Arona, Avilés, Benidorm, Castelldefels, León, Cádiz, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Santander, Sanxenxo, Palencia and Pontevedra. 

According to the Ministry, the Smart Tourist Destinations' Network "aims to encourage collaboration and joint action of the member destinations, seeking synergies and exchanging good practices, to which is added the coordination of actions, the search for a joint promotion framework and contribute to guarantee Spain's leadership in the field of tourism intelligence ".
