Aids for self-employed: find out about procedures

Saturday 11th July 2020

As of 22nd July, self-employed workers of Calvià will be able to start the procedures to request direct aids for the restart and maintenance of the activity in the self-employed work. Before, however, they must make sure they have the necessary documentation.

This aid is the result of the agreement signed between the Calvià Town Hall and the Department of Economic Model, Tourism and Work of the Government of the Balearic Islands, and which is included in the Municipal Plan for social, economic and environmental recovery signed between the Mayor, all the municipal political groups (PSOE, Podemos-Más, PP, Vox and Ciudadanos), the UGT and CCOO unions, all the hotel associations in the municipality and the representatives of the associated offer (ACOTUR, Restauración-CAEB and ABONE).

With the signing of this agreement, Calvià, which has a significant number of small businesses and self-employed workers, has 2.092,168 euros for aids, of which 1.500,000 euros are provided by the Town Hall, 444.955 euros are provided by the Government of the Balearic Islands, and 147.213 euros are provided by the Consell de Mallorca.

Procedures to apply for direct financial aids for self-employed workers

 * 2.000€ if they have no workers

* 2.500€ if they have between 1 and 2 workers

* 3.000€ if they have more than 2 workers

Grant applications will be resolved individually, and will be granted in strict order of entry of day and time of the complete files, based on the requirements established in the Order as long as there is sufficient credit.

When the 10.000 requests for procedure one are reached, the request for this procedure will be suspended, which can be restarted once the corresponding files have been resolved if funds are available and will be published on the website of the General Directorate for Economic Promotion, Entrepreneurship and Social and Circular Economy and in the Official Bulletin of the Balearic Islands, both the suspension and the lifting of the suspension.
