CAPITAL GAINS COMMUNICATION AFTER RDL 26/2021

The Official State Gazette published on 9th November the Royal Decree Law 26/2021, by which the consolidated text of local tax Law regarding the 'Tax on the increase in value of urban land' is adapted, thus establishing a new taxbase calculating system.

This modification establishes that the objective system for determining the taxbase becomes an optional system, allowing direct estimates of the increase in value in those cases in which the taxpayer requests so.

Calvià Town Hall reactivates the tax collection coinciding with the entry into force of said Decree, however, until our computer systems are adapted to the new calculation system, liable taxpayers as a result of a property transfer, must submit a letter declaring the transmission carried out, providing the corresponding deeds and / or documents, but they do not have to self-assess the tax.

As soon as the computer systems are modified, the corresponding tax settlement will be notified or the appropriate tax payment procedure will be reported.

The letter and the attached documents can be submitted in person by the General Registry of Calvià Town Hall by prior appointment, by the AGE General Electronic Registry or by postal mail.
