FONS MALLORQUÍ DE SOLIDARITAT AND DISCAESPORTS RECEIVE NEULA PARC'S SPRING EDITION COLLECTION

The children's playground raised the total amount of 3.653 euros

Calvià Town Hall allocates the money collected to social entities, as done after each edition of the Neula Parc, which this year has also had an edition in April since, due to the health situation, it could not be carried out during the Christmas holidays.

On this occasion, the children's playground has raised a total of 3.653 euros during the three days it was open in the Galatzó pavilion, from 20th to 22nd April. The activity had a symbolic entrance price of 6 euros for families of 4 to 7 people or 2 euros for individuals.

The Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, together with the deputy mayor for Social Cohesion and Equality, Nati Francés, delivered the cheques to each of the social entities which, for this edition, were Fons Mallorquí de Solidaritat and Discaesports. On behalf of these entities, the cheques were collected by Catalina Socies and Mariano Fernández López, respectively. The mayor wanted to thank the approximately 2.600 people who attended the event for their contribution, which will be allocated, on the one hand, to a project in the Slovak municipality of Hummenné for children's workshops and socialisation activities for Ukrainian refugees, and, on the other hand, to the purchase of an adapted chair by the entity that facilitates the practice of sport for people with disabilities.

This year, Neula Parc incorporated novelties and improvements in the inclusive aspect. For instance, both in the morning and in the afternoon, the first opening hour was without noise, and the workshops were adapted for all children with hearing disabilities, with a special collaboration of ASPAS and Fundación Majorca Live.

On the other hand, a large marquee was set up outside specifically for boys and girls from 0 to 6 years old where, in addition, there were separate conciliation spaces for baby care for changing diapers, to breastfeed or formulafeed, or just to rest.
