On 26th January, a collaboration agreement between Consell de Mallorca and Calvià Town Hall for the provision of IT services was approved by plenary session.
The contracted services consist of the creation of two online viewers with geographic information of the municipality of Calvià. These online viewers are part of the IDELMA project, which is a geoportal of local IDE's (Spatial Data Infrastructures) developed and managed by the Consell de Mallorca, Department of Economic Promotion and Local Development, with the aim of supporting municipalities to comply with Law 14/2010, of 5th July, on geographic information infrastructures and services, LISIGE, which obliges administrations to publish the geographic information for which they have powers.
These online viewers are based on Geographic Information Systems technology and open source tools. They are a web tool made available to citizens and companies to consult the geographical information of the municipality of Calvià.
The online viewers have navigation and consultation functions, a search engine by cadastral reference or address, and a printing tool to generate personalised maps. An effort has been made to integrate mapping from different sources as well as the existing base cartography and the available aerial orthophotographs from different years.
An IDE (Spatial Data Infrastructure) online viewer has been developed that complies with a series of rules, standards and specifications that regulate and guarantee the interoperability of the geographic information generated by the Town Hall in the exercise of its powers.
At the same time, a General Plan online viewer has been developed, with all the Geographic Information of an urban nature that affects Calvià. All the General Urban Planning information that is currently in force and the cartography regarding supra-municipal planning have been integrated, as well as all sectoral conditions that have a geographical component.
The graphic information of the new General and Detailed Planning is linked to the urban regulations through tabs in which the text of the regulatory articles of the area where information is requested appears.
