FICTION MALLORCA PITCH RETURNS TO CALVIÀ FOR ITS THIRD EDITION
The third edition of Fiction Mallorca Pitch will take place at Sa Societat theatre in Calvià on 16th - 18th October 2023
Fiction Mallorca Pitch is an event, sponsored by Calvià Town Hall and with the support of the Calvià Film Office, dedicated to training and networking in the audiovisual sector, which has managed to promote more than 22 projects in the 2021 and 2022 editions, and bring together more than 150 attendees
The Balearic audiovisual sector is preparing for the third edition of Fiction Mallorca Pitch which will take place at Sa Societat Theatre in Calvià on 16th - 18th October 2023 and that will bring together national and international talent. This year, the edition will focus on scriptwriters, creators and new formats; and on a guest region.
Fiction Mallorca Pitch is an event, sponsored by Calvià Town Hall and with the support of the Calvià Film Office, dedicated to training and networking in the audiovisual sector, which has managed to promote more than 22 projects in the 2021 and 2022 editions, and bring together more than 150 attendees. During the sessions to be carried out in 2023, Calvià will become the centre of attention for the audiovisual sector, bringing together talent at all levels.
For the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, it is a satisfaction to be able to reach the third edition of Fiction Mallorca Pitch «seeing the trajectory of previous years, the repercussion it is having and the projection it entails. The national and international audiovisual sector will once again focus on Sa Societat theatre, being a meeting point, especially this year, for scriptwriters and creators”. The mayor added that "The organisation and collaboration in cultural projects, especially if it is in the mid-low season, is a challenge for Calvià that is being met with events such as Fiction Mallorca Pitch."
The programme will include different training panels related to audiovisual development and creation, a Pitching training session and networking meetings. In addition, a collaboration agreement has been reached with the Juniper Serra Integrated Vocational Training Centre, which, together with the Image and Sound department, will contribute its experience and knowledge to provide training to its students and collaborate in the event's production activities.
Fiction Mallorca Pitch is an event open to the public and focused on training the audiovisual sector, so the interest is general for all the professionals who participate and also for audiovisual-loving citizens. This edition promises to be a unique opportunity to connect with other professionals, learn and grow in the sector.
