The accountability sessions come to en end

Friday 22nd December 2017

THE ACCOUNTABILITY SESSIONS THAT FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR HAVE TOURED THE DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CALVIÀ HAVE COME TO AN END

The government team has appeared, throughout the months of November and December, in front of the citizens to explain the government action and answer the questions, complaints and proposals of the neighbours.

The Town Hall of Calvià has completed the accountability sessions that have gone through the different areas of the municipality to explain to the public, directly, the actions carried out by the consistory as well as the implementation status of the initiatives launched throughout 2017.

In this way, the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, along with the councillors of the government team, as well as managers and technicians from different municipal departments, has submitted, for the second year in a row, to the questions, complaints and suggestions that have been carried out by the neighbours of the municipality, being interested in the various issues that concern them.

In total, 9 Accountability events began on 2
nd November with a plenary session in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall, with the intervention of all the municipal groups.

In parallel, a platform has been activated (https://rendiciodecomptes.calvia.com), in which the citizens of Calvià can check the status of execution of the different projects and commitments.

The Accountability sessions were held for the first time in Calvià in November 2016 and all the information on this process can be consulted on the website www.noetquedisindiferent.com. Giving continuity to this
opening to the public process, the Plenum of the Town Hall approved to modify, in February 2017, the Municipal Organic Regulation (ROM) to, amongst other aspects, incorporate an annual monographic plenary session of accountability. In this line, in March 2017 the first debate on the state of the municipality was held in Calvià.
